Sailpoint Operations Engineer

1. Application Onboarding & Integration

• Actively participate in onboarding new applications into the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform.
• Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and alignment with IAM standards.
• Design and develop end-to-end identity lifecycle integrations (Joiner-Mover-Leaver processes).
• Automate identity provisioning and de-provisioning workflows to eliminate manual intervention.

2. IDAM Platform Operations & Support

• Work closely with the IDAM team to implement:
  • Enhancements and new features
  • Application upgrades and patching
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements
  • Certificate management
• Perform daily operational support of the SailPoint IIQ platform to ensure system stability and availability.
• Monitor system health, job executions, connectors, and access provisioning processes.

3. Troubleshooting & Incident Management

• Provide escalation support for complex application and system issues within the IAM domain.
• Conduct detailed troubleshooting of provisioning failures, aggregation issues, and connector errors.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production incidents efficiently.

4. Identity Governance & Security Compliance

• Ensure adherence to identity governance best practices and organizational security standards.
• Support access certification campaigns, policy enforcement, and audit activities.
• Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) models and compliance reporting.

5. Operational Monitoring & Problem Management

• Partner with the Operations team to perform continuous service monitoring of the IDAM infrastructure.
• Ensure security, integrity, and high availability of IAM systems.
• Drive problem management initiatives by identifying trends and reducing incident recurrence.
• Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with application owners, developers, and infrastructure teams.
• Enable seamless onboarding and offboarding of applications within the IDAM ecosystem.
• Provide technical guidance and direction for IAM-related initiatives and integrations.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.
• Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

7. Service Request Management & Role Maintenance

• Handle service requests (SRs) related to identity and access management through ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Perform role maintenance activities, including creation, modification, and decommissioning of roles in SailPoint IIQ.
• Ensure role definitions align with business requirements, RBAC models, and compliance standards.
• Validate and implement access changes while maintaining audit trails and approval workflows.
• Collaborate with application owners and business teams to review and optimize role structures.
• Support periodic role reviews and certification campaigns to ensure access accuracy and governance.
