Roles & Responsibilty

To prepare & carry out lifting & rigging related intervention among site personnel & conduct awareness programs to sustain an accident-free site related to lifting & rigging.

• Review and approve lift plan, Method statement and HIRA
• Provide necessary support to prepare lifting operations SOP
• Review and random clearance for lifting permit and lift plans by daily basis
• Monitoring the critical lifts for safe execution
• Deliver / witness tool box talk at project sites
• Necessary review and support for basic, intermediate & critical lifting activities
• Inspection of lifting equipment and lifting accessories as per monthly activity plan
• Review and ensure maintaining of lifting equipment register
• Monitor adherence to schedule for inspection of lifting equipment and lifting accessories
• Implement colour coding system/Fitness sticker for lifting equipment and tools and tackles
• Prepare training materials (Site based) if required
• Impart training for lifting team. i.e., slinger, signaler, lifting supervisor, crane operator)
• Impart class room & Practical training for lifting team
• Participate in High risk Focus meeting and raise high severity points related to Lifting and rigging which observed during the week.
• Provide inputs to management on strengthening the system to manage lifting and rigging activities.
