Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspections & PTW: Conduct regular plant patrols to monitor safety compliance, work instructions, barricades, machine guards, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) rules.
• Hazard Identification & Reporting: Identify unsafe acts, conditions, near misses, and potential hazards; report immediately and maintain required observation logs.
• PPE & Contractor Oversight: Ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel, verify contractor PPE registers, and guide contractor workers on safe practices.
• Safety Awareness & Emergency: Assist in toolbox talks, safety campaigns, emergency evacuations, and corrective actions with the HSE/Plant team.
• General: Perform safety tasks assigned by the Plant EHS Lead, Area Incharge, or HOD.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Teamwork and effective interpersonal skills with workers and contractors.
• Basic knowledge of risk identification and hazard control measures.
