Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of EHS policies, safety procedures, and SOPs at the project site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Monitor compliance with PPE, work-at-height, scaffolding, lifting, excavation, electrical, and fire safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe acts/conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and regular safety training for employees and contractors.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident/accident reports, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure proper emergency preparedness, fire safety, and evacuation procedures at the project site.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory safety requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• 58 years of relevant experience in real estate/construction project sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and site EHS requirements.
