Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Keep up to date with changes in occupational health and safety (OHS) laws.
• Assist in developing JSAs for all activities
• Organize safety training programs for workers and management. Promote a safety-first culture among employees.
• Investigate workplace accidents and near-misses.
• Assist in Preparing incident reports and suggest corrective actions.
• Conduct regular safety audits to check for compliance with safety standards.
• Identify unsafe practices and suggest improvements.
• Advice for the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Assist in maintaining safe working conditions in hazardous environments.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Educational Qualification:
A degree in engineering & technology
A diploma in industrial safety from a recognized institution ( RLI / CLI ) or ADIS, PDIS.
2. Experience: At least 4 years of working experience in manufacturing industry
3. Knowledge & Skills: Familiarity with occupational health, safety law, Training in accident prevention, hazard identification, and risk assessment. Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations.
