Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

Ensure all workers follow site safety rules and regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Monitor use of PPE like helmet, shoes, gloves, belt, jacket etc.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for workers.
• Prepare safety reports, checklists, and records.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Ensure scaffolding, lifting tools, machines are safe to use.
• Maintain fire extinguishers, first aid box, emergency arrangements.
• Coordinate with project manager, engineers, and contractors on safety matters.
• Ensure work permits for hot work, height work, excavation, electrical work etc.
• Stop unsafe work practices immediately.
• Maintain statutory compliance as per company and government rules.
• Promote safety awareness among all employees.
• Prepare emergency evacuation and rescue plans.
