Safety Officer Solar & Wind Projects and Operations

Role Purpose: The Safety Officer is responsible for day-to-day site safety supervision. Implementing and monitoring the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system at solar and wind project construction sites and operational facilities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, company HSE standards, client requirements, and best industry practices. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk mitigation, contractor safety management, accident prevention, and continuous improvement of HSE performance to achieve a zeroharm workplace.

Academic Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma / bachelors degree in engineering, Science.
• Mandatory Safety Certification: Diploma in industrial safety from recognised institutions

Professional qualification

• NEBOSH IGC / PDIS / IOSH / equivalent.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• PermittoWork (PTW) systems
• LOTO implementation
• Electrical safety (LV/HV)
• Work at Height safety and rescue preparedness
• Lifting and rigging safety
• Incident investigation methodologies
• ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 awareness (preferred)

• Strong site presence and assertiveness
• Effective communication and influencing skills
• High attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Ability to work independently in remote project locations
• Safety leadership and integrity

Physical & Working Conditions

• Outdoor site-based work in extreme weather conditions.
• Long working hours and rotational shifts as per project requirements. • Medically fit for site duties and working at height (wind projects).
