Safety Officer (Senior Executive - Safety)

Description

The Senior Executive - Safety will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety at our Indoasian-Haridwar plant. They will be responsible for driving EHS initiatives, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and implementing group EHS standards. This role is integral to maintaining a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% compliance with EHS statutory requirements and maintain accurate EHS records/registers.
• Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and group standards.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and recommend control measures.
• Deliver occupational health, safety, and environmental training for new employees.
• Lead incident investigations, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and ensure corrective action closure.
• Organize EHS review meetings and Safety Committee meetings, ensuring timely action item closure.
• Conduct EHS audits, field inspections, and analyze unsafe acts, conditions, and incidents.
• Maintain compliance and certification for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Drive timely closure of Non-Conformities (NCs) and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs).
• Advise on safety aspects related to plant design, equipment, and work systems.

Qualifications

• RLI Certified Safety Officer certification is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and RCA methodologies.
• Knowledge of PTW, JSA, LOTO, and MOC systems.
• Good communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in EHS reporting and documentation.
• Additional certifications in EHS/Industrial Safety will be preferred.
• A minimum of 2-7 years of experience in a similar role.
