Position: Safety Officer

Role: Ensuring safety in manufacturing involves implementing strict protocols, such as machine guarding, lockout/tagout procedures, and regular safety training, to protect workers from hazards. Adherence to industry standards and regulations is crucial for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Education & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Safety with 5 to 7 years of experience in technical manufacturing environment. Engineering or relevant field is preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft office.
• Preferred Industry background - EPC company in Process Field

Knowledge/Skills

• Proven experience as safety officer
• In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA/EOHS) and procedures
• Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
• Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
• Diligent with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
• Certificate in occupational health and safety.
