Safety Engineer

Position: Safety Engineer
Location: Dahej & Jamnagar, Gujarat
Experience: 8 to 12 Years
Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Mandatory ADIS/PDIS certification from a State Government-recognized institution

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across project sites.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, client, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor work permits and ensure safe execution of high-risk activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams to promote a strong safety culture across the site.
• Ensure proper usage of PPE and adherence to safety practices by all personnel.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8 to 12 years of experience in industrial project environments.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience in managing safety activities during construction and project execution phases.
• Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification exercises.
• Good communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in petrochemical, refinery, chemical, manufacturing, or other large industrial projects will be preferred.
