Ruby On Rails Developer

Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.

• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Develop scalable, high-performance backend systems and business logic.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, and frontend developers.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and estimation activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills

Core Skills

• Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with Rails concepts such as:
• Active Record
• Action Controller
• Action Mailer
• Background Jobs (Sidekiq, Resque, Delayed Job)
• Rails APIs
• Gems and Bundler

Database

• Strong experience with:
• PostgreSQL
• MySQL
• MongoDB (preferred)
• Ability to write optimized SQL queries and design efficient database schemas.

API Development

• RESTful API design and development.
• JSON/XML data handling.
• API authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT).

Frontend (Preferred)

• JavaScript, TypeScript
• React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
• HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS
