Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage roll shop area operations, ensuring efficient production planning, execution, and quality control.

• Plan the stand assembly job according to bar plan/rolling plan by coordinating with machine shop.

• Ensuring specified inventory of all consumable spares and availability of critical spares.
• Use the spares, tools, tackles and accessories properly and efficiently
• Ensure the implementation of guide and stand maintenance and restbar repair schedule
• Monitor consumption of spares and control the spillage.
• Communicate the equipment status, shortage of tools and tackles to immediate supervisor
• Ensuring availability of equipments for smooth operation
• Ensure the readiness of stand assembly before size or stand change
• Ensure spare stands and guides to avoid interruption during rolling
• Monitoring of equipment status maintaining history cards with abnormalities and feed back for PM Plan.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 10-15 years of experience in Roll Shop Area management or related field.
  
• Diploma or Degree holder (B.Tech / B.E. preferred).
  
• Strong understanding of hot rolling mill operation, cost control, and quality assurance principles.
  
• Proven track record in managing teams and implementing effective production strategies.
