Job Description
Robotics Engineer AGV/AMR (Full-Time)
Company: Aspagteq Technology Pvt. Ltd. Location: [Noida] Experience: 3-5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Openings: [3]
About Aspagteq Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Aspagteq Technology Pvt. Ltd. builds intelligent, technology-driven solutions across AI, Machine Vision, and Robotics. We are developing Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), and are looking for an experienced Robotics Developer to lead software development for these platforms.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and deploy autonomous navigation software for AGV/AMR platforms using ROS2. You'll own critical modules such as localization, navigation, and sensor integration, work closely with hardware/embedded teams, and help take robots from prototype to field deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop robot software architecture using ROS2 (nodes, lifecycle nodes, actions, services, custom messages)
Implement and tune navigation stacks (Nav2), localization (AMCL/Cartographer), and path planning algorithms
Integrate and calibrate sensors: LiDAR, IMU, wheel encoders, depth/stereo cameras, ultrasonic sensors
Develop and debug SLAM-based mapping and multi-robot fleet navigation as required
Work on motion control, kinematics (differential/mecanum/omni drive), and PID/advanced controllers
Collaborate with embedded/firmware teams for motor control, low-level communication (CAN, UART, etc.)
Conduct simulation testing (Gazebo/RViz) prior to real-world deployment
Perform on-site/field testing, debugging, and performance tuning of AGV/AMR systems
Write clean, modular, well-documented, production-grade code following robotics software best practices
Collaborate with AI/CV team to integrate perception-based features into navigation
Mentor junior engineers/interns and contribute to technical documentation and design reviews
Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of hands-on experience in Robotics software development, with strong exposure to ROS2
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
Practical experience with Nav2, SLAM (Cartographer/Gmapping), and localization techniques (AMCL, EKF/UKF sensor fusion)
Solid understanding of robot kinematics, control systems, and motion planning
Hands-on experience with sensor integration: LiDAR, IMU, encoders, depth cameras
Experience with Gazebo/RViz or other robotics simulation environments
Comfortable working in Linux/Ubuntu with strong Git/version control practices
Experience debugging real-world robot behavior (not just simulation)
Good to Have
Experience with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32) and embedded C/C++ for low-level control
Knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, Modbus, UART, EtherCAT
Experience with multi-robot fleet management or fleet scheduling systems
Exposure to industrial safety standards for AGV/AMR (safety scanners, e-stop systems)
Experience integrating vision-based perception (object detection, obstacle avoidance) into navigation stack
Prior experience taking a robotics product from prototype to production/field deployment
What We Offer
Opportunity to build and own core software for real-world AGV/AMR products
Direct collaboration with AI/Vision and embedded/hardware teams
Competitive salary based on experience
Growth path into senior/lead robotics engineering roles
