About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

The Role Weave is building general-purpose robots that work in the real world. Our robots are deployed outside the lab, performing everyday tasks in real environments where the people, objects, and situations they encounter are constantly changing. As a Robot Operator, you’ll work directly with these robots and our teleoperation systems, helping them perform tasks such as folding laundry, picking up and organizing objects, and interacting with their surroundings. Some of this work supports robots actively operating in the field; the rest helps generate the data they need to become increasingly capable on their own. Operating a robot well takes more than following instructions. You’ll need to be consistent and precise while paying attention to what’s happening around the robot. You’ll learn to recognize when a task is going well, when something has changed, and when to continue, retry, or escalate. This is an opportunity to work with robots at the point where they leave the lab and become real products. What you learn from operating them — how people interact with them, what works, what breaks, and what needs to be better — directly shapes how we build them. You’ll help establish the workflows, behaviors, and standards that could define how people use robots in their everyday lives. Responsibilities - Operate Weave robots using teleoperation equipment. - Collect task data accurately and consistently across repeated trials. - Monitor robots, equipment, and the surrounding workspace during operation. - Identify and report software, hardware, operational, and data-quality issues. - Use good judgment when deciding whether to continue, retry, stop, or escalate. - Review collected data when needed to maintain quality standards. - Follow established procedures while adapting to new tasks, environments, and workflows. - Apply feedback from trainers, reviewers, shift leads, and engineers. - Help improve data collection workflows, tools, and operator processes. - Support robot workflows at deployment sites when needed. What We Look For The best Robot Operators combine consistency with awareness . We look for people who are: - Attentive — You notice small changes in robot behavior, task execution, and data quality. - Reliable — You show up prepared, communicate clearly, and follow through. - Consistent — You can repeat precision-oriented work without letting quality drift. - Judicious — You know when something is normal, when something needs attention, and when to escalate. - Adaptable — You are comfortable with tasks and workflows changing as our systems improve. - Coach-able — You take feedback seriously and apply it quickly. - Clear communicators — You can explain what happened in a way that helps others act on it. Requirements - Ability to operate teleoperation equipment for extended periods, with appropriate breaks. - Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Comfort learning new software, hardware, and internal tools. - Ability to work on-site and occasionally support work at deployment sites. Previous robotics experience is not required. We care more about judgment, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to learn. Experience with robotics, gaming, technical equipment, manufacturing, assembly, laboratory work, quality assurance, or other precision-oriented work may be helpful. Compensation & Employment The expected compensation for this role is $25 per hour . This is a full-time employee position at Weave , with opportunities for increased responsibility and growth based on performance and business needs. !
