Role: SB Risk and Surveillance

Location: Mumbai

What you will do:

• Manage and monitor day-to-day risk exposure for the firm across equity, derivatives and commodities markets.
• Execute margin calculations, risk reports, and monitor client-level risk parameters in real-time.
• Ensure the firms risk exposure is within approved limits and regulatory requirements.
• Use risk management tools like LD/Protector to assess and mitigate potential risks.
• Identify potential margin shortfalls, ensure margin calls are made, and assist in margin collection.
• Be prepared to liquidate positions in adverse market conditions with due diligence to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with surveillance, compliance, and legal teams to address risk-related queries raised by sub-brokers or internal departments.
• Provide daily reports and updates on risk metrics, open positions, and margin utilization to senior management.
• Stay updated with SEBI, NSE, BSE, and MCX risk management regulations and ensure compliance.
• Help in the automation of risk monitoring and margin management processes.
• Provide comprehensive training to sub-brokers and internal teams on risk management tools, policies, margin requirements, and market regulations to keep them updated.

Who you are:

• Experience with risk management software like LD/Protector, Omnesys, Odin, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with service tools like CRMS, SFDC, or equivalent is an advantage
• Proficient in basic to advanced Excel for data analysis, reporting, and risk assessment.
• Strong understanding of equity, derivatives, and commodity markets
• Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SEBI, NSE, BSE, MCX) and margin
• policies.
• Understanding of risk management principles, margin calculations, exposure limits and liquidation procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external clients.
