Key Roles & Responsibilities Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

• Examine patients, assess their medical conditions, and provide appropriate treatment.
• Monitor IPD and emergency patients and ensure timely medical intervention.
• Conduct patient rounds and monitor vital signs and clinical progress.
• Attend medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and treatment documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other hospital departments.
• Implement doctors’ instructions and ensure proper follow-up of treatment plans.
• Monitor patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
• Communicate with patients and their relatives regarding routine care and progress.
• Ensure proper handover of patients during shift changes.
