RMC - Sales Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales planning & market

• Prepare monthly sales plans, territory allocation and volume targets for the sales team.
• Track upcoming projects, competitor pricing/plants and market demand.
• Share a weekly 714 day volume forecast with Operations for material planning.

Customer acquisition & pricing

• Build relationships with builders, contractors, consultants, developers and institutional buyers.
• Quote from the MD-approved price list; offer discounts only within approved limits and escalate anything beyond.
• Complete new-customer onboarding before first supply: KYC, GST details, credit application and MD-approved credit limit.

Order confirmation

• Confirm every order on the Order/Pour Card: grade, quantity, date/time, pour rate, pump requirement, site address, contact person and payment terms.
• Hand over confirmed orders by the daily cut-off time and ensure customer re-confirmation on the morning of the pour.

Collections (owner)

• Own receivables for all customers brought in by the sales team; review the weekly overdue list from Accounts and act on all accounts overdue beyond 30 days.
• Enforce the credit-hold rule: no new supply to an overdue or over-limit customer without MD approval.

Customer service & reporting

• Act as Nodal Officer for customer complaints: log, route to Quality/Execution, and close the loop with the customer.
• Run the daily sales review and ensure all leads and follow-ups are updated in Zoho CRM.
• Submit daily, weekly and monthly sales and collection reports to the MD.

AUTHORITY

Quote within the price list and approved discount limits; recommend credit limits (MD approves); place a customer on credit hold.
