RMC Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor the quality of Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) supplied to construction sites.
• Conduct quality checks on incoming concrete, including slump tests, temperature checks, and sampling.
• Ensure cube casting, curing, and compressive strength testing are carried out as per applicable standards.
• Verify concrete mix designs, grades, approved sources, and batch tickets.
• Coordinate with RMC plants, site teams, and laboratories to address quality issues.
• Maintain concrete pour records, test reports, inspection checklists, and quality documentation.
• Investigate concrete quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved method statements, and relevant IS codes.
• Monitor concrete rejection, test results, and supplier performance.
• Conduct regular site inspections during concrete pouring and ensure adherence to quality procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of RMC, concrete technology, and construction quality control.
• Hands-on experience with slump tests, cube testing, and concrete sampling.
• Knowledge of IS codes, particularly IS 456 and relevant concrete testing standards.
• Proficiency in quality documentation, reporting, and coordination with site teams.
• Experience in high-rise residential or large-scale construction projects preferred.
