Retainer - International Tax and Transfer Pricing

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Semi-Qualified CA with relevant experience in Direct Tax, International Taxation, and Transfer Pricing. The role will involve managing and supporting transfer pricing compliances, tax assessments, international tax matters, and coordination with internal and overseas stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support the preparation of Form 3CEB/48 and Transfer Pricing documentation along with relevant supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing submissions and collating information for Transfer Pricing assessments and related tax proceedings.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Finance Controllers, Consolidation, Strategy, Treasury, and Business teams to obtain information required for tax and transfer pricing compliances.
• Analyse quarterly forecasted segmental financial statements and other financial inputs to monitor transfer pricing arrangements and profitability of associated enterprises.
• Monitor transfer pricing transactions between associated enterprises and ensure timely updates in SAP, including raising and verification of credit/debit notes and related entries.
• Prepare and maintain periodic MIS reports related to transfer pricing and international taxation.
• Support automation and process-improvement initiatives aimed at improving tax processes and operational efficiency.
• Monitor direct tax assets and liabilities maintained by overseas group entities and coordinate for their annual review.
• Coordinate with overseas associated enterprises for timely closure of recurring tax and transfer pricing compliance activities.
• Conduct research and keep abreast of developments in Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, and International Taxation.
• Assist in tax audits, assessments, reconciliations, documentation, and other tax-related activities.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tax and transfer pricing activities while maintaining accuracy and proper documentation.

Qualification & Experience

• Semi-Qualified CA / CA Intermediate.
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in Direct Tax, International Taxation, Transfer Pricing, or Tax Compliance.
• Experience in a corporate tax environment, Big 4, tax consulting, or a similar organization will be preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in Transfer Pricing compliance and international tax matters will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Good working knowledge of the Income-tax Act and Transfer Pricing regulations.
• Understanding of International Taxation concepts.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, financial statements, segmental financials, margins, reconciliations, and MIS reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively with cross-functional and overseas stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Important: This is a contractual position for a period of 1 year.
