Retail Store Manager

Role & responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Achievement

• Drive store sales and ensure achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Ensure achievement of Monthly Plan enrolments and customer acquisition targets.
• Monitor KPIs such as conversion, ATV, UPT, repeat customers, and other metrics as defined by the brand.
• Analyze sales trends and implement action plans to improve business performance.
• Ensure effective follow-up on leads, walk-ins, and customer inquiries.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, motivate, and manage the store team to achieve business objectives.
• Conduct regular team briefings, daily huddles, and performance reviews.
• Coach and mentor team members on sales techniques, customer engagement, and product knowledge.
• Build a positive, disciplined, and performance-driven work culture.
• Ensure manpower planning, rostering, attendance management, and team productivity.

Customer Experience & Relationship Management

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
• Personally engage with key customers and handle escalations professionally.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
• Ensure the team follows customer engagement and service protocols consistently.

Store Operations & SOP Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to company SOPs, operational policies, and compliance standards.
• Maintain store hygiene, visual merchandising standards, and overall presentation.
• Monitor opening and closing procedures, cash handling, billing accuracy, and stock management.
• Ensure operational discipline across all store activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments for smooth store functioning.

Systems & Process Management

• Ensure accurate usage and understanding of POS systems and store software.
• Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Monitor inventory systems, stock reconciliation, and audit readiness.
• Ensure proper use of technology and systems by the team.
• Generate and analyze reports using Excel and other operational tools.

Marketing & Business Development

• Lead and execute local store marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
• Coordinate with mall management, local vendors, and marketing teams for activations.
• Drive customer engagement campaigns and community outreach programs.
• Identify opportunities to increase store footfall and improve conversion.

Inventory & Asset Management

• Ensure proper stock handling, stock audits, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure safe handling of company assets and equipment.

Compliance & Administration

• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety norms.
• Maintain discipline and professional conduct within the store.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation processes.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
• Strong system operation and POS handling knowledge.
• Understanding of retail software and operational systems.

• 2+ years of Work Experience in Retail as Store manager preferably with premium brand.
• Fluent in English, Kannada and One More Language
