Retail Leasing Manager

Role & responsibilities :

• Regularly survey the market to identify properties matching the current and upcoming requirements of retail brands.
• Understand brand-specific requirements including location, size, frontage, budget, catchment, visibility, and business potential.
• Track market movements, upcoming developments, vacancies, rentals, and emerging retail destinations.
• Identify suitable properties and build a strong database of available retail spaces.
• Source and verify landlord/property-owner details.
• Coordinate and conduct site visits with retail brands and decision-makers.
• Present suitable options to brands based on their requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, property owners, developers, retailers, and brand representatives.
• Act as the key liaison between landlords and retail brands throughout the transaction.
• Build a reliable network of property owners and retail brands in the market.
• Handle commercial discussions and lease negotiations between landlords and brands.
• Negotiate rentals, security deposits, lock-in periods, lease tenure, escalation, fit-out periods, CAM and other commercial terms.
• Work towards creating commercially viable outcomes for both parties.
• Manage the complete transaction process from initial property identification to final deal closure.
• Coordinate with landlords, brands, legal teams, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Follow up consistently to ensure transactions move smoothly and close within agreed timelines.
