Job Description

Hotel GSR, Tumkur is hiring a hands-on Restaurant Manager for FLAiR, our 100-cover multi-cuisine fine-dining family restaurant, located within our 45-room hotel. You'll take full ownership of daily restaurant operations — team management, guest experience, kitchen coordination, cost control and billing — while also supporting our 200-seater banquet hall, boardroom meetings and hotel F&B events.

This is an on-ground operational role. We're looking for someone who leads from the floor, not just from a desk.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complete daily operations of the restaurant — opening, service and closing procedures

Lead, roster and supervise restaurant service staff; conduct pre-shift briefings and on-the-job training

Coordinate with the kitchen/chef team on food quality, order flow and service timing

Control food cost, portion sizes, wastage and inventory; coordinate with purchase/vendors on stock

Supervise POS billing, discounts, complimentary bills and daily cash reconciliation

Monitor daily sales, footfall and average bill value; drive upselling and repeat business

Handle guest complaints and ensure quick service recovery

Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food-safety standards across restaurant and service areas

Coordinate with the Hotel Manager on hotel guests, banquet hall (200 pax), boardroom meetings and corporate events

Prepare daily/periodic operational reports and resolve day-to-day operational issues independently

Candidate Requirements

2+ years' experience as Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Supervisor / Outlet Manager

Experience in a high-volume restaurant (100+ covers preferred) with multi-cuisine, veg & non-veg operations

Strong staff management and customer-service skills

Working knowledge of inventory, food cost and portion control

Hands-on experience with POS/billing systems

Hotel restaurant background preferred; fine-dining/premium family restaurant experience an advantage

Banquet/event coordination experience preferred

Languages: English (required), Kannada (preferred), Hindi (added advantage)

Note: Bar or alcohol-management experience is not required for this role.

Strong restaurant sales and repeat customer business, tight food-cost and wastage control, high guest-satisfaction and online review scores, smooth banquet/event coordination, and a well-run, disciplined service team.

Education

Hotel Management degree/diploma preferred, not mandatory.
