Role - Respiratory Physiologist

Preferred candidate profile

• BSc/MSc in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, Clinical Physiology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong recent hands-on PFT experience in a Respiratory Physiology/PFT lab, with knowledge of PFT procedures

Role & responsibilities

• Perform and support a range of Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) as per clinical requirements.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures and ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Perform routine respiratory physiology investigations and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Assist with interpretation and reporting of respiratory physiology test results as per scope of practice.
• Follow clinical, infection-control, equipment and patient-safety standards.
• Maintain and perform routine quality checks of respiratory physiology equipment.
• Work closely with respiratory physicians, physiologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient records and follow relevant NHS clinical protocols and guidelines.
