Resin Procurement Specialist (Beverage/FMCG/Packaging Industry ONLY)

Role & responsibilities

1. R-PET & V-PET Expertise: Strong understanding of R-PET and V-PET resin, grades, IV, quality parameters, food-grade requirements and applications.
2. Market & Trading Knowledge: Understand PET resin trading, market movements, domestic/import pricing, major suppliers and key cost drivers.
3. Commercial Negotiation: Lead supplier negotiations for price, payment terms, credit, MOQ, delivery and other commercial conditions to achieve competitive procurement.
4. Preform Knowledge: Good technical understanding of PET preforms, including weight, design, neck finish, IV, resin consumption and manufacturing process.
5. Supplier Development: Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and alternate sources for R-PET, V-PET and preforms to ensure supply continuity.
6. Cost Optimization: Conduct price benchmarking, should-cost analysis and market comparisons and identify opportunities for procurement savings.
7. Supply & Market Risk Management: Monitor availability, market prices and supply risks and proactively plan sourcing in line with business requirements.
8. Strategic Procurement: Drive annual savings, supplier performance, specification optimisation and long-term sourcing strategies for PET resin and preforms.

Preferred candidate profile

• 815 years of relevant experience in PET resin / R-PET / V-PET / preform / packaging procurement or trading.
• Beverage, FMCG or packaging industry experience preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and market intelligence.
• Combination of technical knowledge + commercial sourcing experience preferred.
