Residential Hostel Manager - RV University

Role & responsibilities

The Residence Manager / Warden is responsible for the overall administration, safety, discipline, student welfare, and smooth functioning of the University hostel/residence. The role involves supervising hostel staff, ensuring compliance with University policies and SOPs, and maintaining a safe and supportive residential environment.

• Provide centralized supervision of wardens, housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff.
• Strengthen grievance handling and timely resolution of student concerns.
• Ensure compliance with University policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
• Improve cleanliness, hygiene, and overall facility management of hostel operations.
• Enable better coordination with internal departments such as Facilities, Security, Student Affairs,Counselling, and Medical Services.
• Ensure effective handling of emergencies, incidents, and disciplinary matters.
• Support a safe, structured, and student-friendly residential environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
• Relevant experience in hostel/residential administration, student affairs, educational administration, hospitality, or facility management.
• Experience in managing students and supervising staff will be an advantage.
