Responsibilities

• The role is primarily that of a lab manager who also engages in research on MRU-approved projects.
• Manage the day-to-day laboratory and research activities in the MRU.
• Supervise the work of laboratory technicians.
• Perform research work, including molecular biology work (PCR, Western blot, ELISA, chromatography, and related techniques).
• Ordering and maintaining inventory of laboratory equipment and consumables.
• Prepare SOPs and scientific and finance reports to be submitted to the ICMR from time to time.
• Coordinate with students and faculty doing MRU-approved research projects.
• Support training activities, such as workshops on research methods, grant and manuscript writing, animal research etc.
• Help in organising the LRAC and EC meeting
• Relevant experience: 2-3 years hands-on laboratory research experience, including core molecular biology techniques (PCR, ELISA, western blot, HPLC etc.), in a research setting.
