We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and motivated Research Coordinator with a PhD in International Relations (IR). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting research activities within the department, ensuring the smooth execution of projects, and facilitating communication between researchers, faculty, and stakeholders. Major Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of ongoing research projects, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed on time.
• Coordinate research teams, including PhD students, postdocs, and faculty members, fostering collaboration and efficient workflow.
• Assist in the development and implementation of research methodologies and frameworks for ongoing projects in International Relations.
• Liaise with external collaborators, funders, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.
• Organise and manage meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences related to research projects.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and assist in securing funding for research activities.
• Prepare and submit grant proposals, research reports, and other documents to funding bodies and academic institutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and students working on research projects.
• Coordinate data collection, analysis, and synthesis, ensuring high-quality, accurate outputs.
• Maintain project timelines, ensuring that milestones are achieved and progress is reported to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of research papers, reports, and presentations for publication or presentation at academic conferences.
• Assist with the dissemination of research findings through media, academic publications, and other outlets.

Qualifications:

• PhD in International Relations (IR) or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of key theories, concepts, and methodologies in International Relations.
• Proven experience in research project coordination and managing multiple, complex tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with academic research (both qualitative and quantitative) and an understanding of the research lifecycle.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
• Experience with fundraising and grant writing for academic research projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
