Recruitment for Research Assistants and Field Assistants. Project Title: Undocumented Migration in India.
Purpose
Rishihood is recruiting a team of four to support a Social Sciences research project tentatively titled Undocumented Migration in India. The team combines on-campus analytical capacity with field-based data collection: 2 Research Assistants, based at Rishihood University, Sonipat, will lead data analysis, report writing and literature review; 2 Research Assistants, based in Kolkata and Guwahati, will conduct field surveys and on-ground data collection in their assigned regions.

Minimum Qualification
- Master degree in Social Sciences
Experience/Skills
- 1-3 years qualitative research experience. Basic quantitative analysis skills
- 13 years of demonstrated experience in field survey work
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing qualitative and quantitative data
- Writing data-based reports
- Conducting reviews of literature
- Conducting field surveys in the assigned region(s)
- On-ground data collection and coordination
Strongly Preferred
- Ability to read and speak Bengali
Personal Qualities
- Comfortable working independently, whether in a research office or in the field.
- Sensitive to the social and cultural context of vulnerable and undocumented communities.
- For field-based roles: willingness to travel extensively and work across diverse field conditions.
