Research And Development Chemist

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments for pharmaceutical R&D and process development.
• Perform chemical reactions, reaction monitoring, filtration, drying, purification, and crystallization.
• Assist in process optimization to improve product yield, purity, and quality.
• Handle laboratory chemicals, solvents, reagents, and equipment safely.
• Maintain laboratory records, experimental data, and documentation as per SOPs.
• Coordinate with the QC team for sample testing and analysis.
• Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and production troubleshooting.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and good documentation practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry, preferably Organic Chemistry.
• Experience: Freshers to 3 years of experience.
• Basic knowledge of organic chemistry, chemical synthesis, and laboratory techniques.
• Candidates with pharmaceutical R&D or API manufacturing experience are preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn, work in a team, and work in a laboratory/manufacturing environment.
