Reporting Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reporting Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret business data to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards while ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Working remotely, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights that improve business performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and automate recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Design interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
• Collect, validate, clean, and analyze data from multiple business systems.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare performance reports for stakeholders.
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
• Identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities through data analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting systems.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver customized reports.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations through reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Improve reporting processes through automation and workflow optimization.
• Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, data definitions, and reporting procedures.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, compliance reporting, and operational analytics initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis and reporting automation.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake.
• Experience with Power Automate or workflow automation tools.
• Understanding of statistical analysis, business intelligence concepts, and data modeling.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
