About this role
Company Description Aermetric is a California-based company that develops software to support and automate the day-to-day work of airline maintenance and engineering departments. We combine our expertise in aircraft maintenance and data science to create tailored solutions for many aircraft operators around the world. Role Description: We are hiring a reliability engineer to support development of algorithms that improve the performance of aircraft throughout the world. As a reliability engineer, you will be tasked with reviewing and analyzing airline maintenance and reliability data, ensuring optimal performance of Aermetric services. Role Responsibilities:
- Classifying defect and corrective action ATA codes for aircraft log pages
- Supporting reliability analyses and tasks
- Recommending optimizations for in-house analytics and algorithms
- Collaborating with engineering and data science teams Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- 2+ years of experience in aviation maintenance and/or engineering
- Knowledge of aircraft systems (structures, avionics, systems, powerplant, etc.)
- Familiarity with aircraft technical documentations (AMMs, FIMs/TSMs, SRMs, etc.)
- Familiarity in airline operational metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets
- Self-starter with strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
