Relationship Manager - FIG - Banking/Financial Services

Role Overview:

To own and grow profitable relationships with Banks, Multilateral Agencies, Development Finance Institutions and other Financial Institutions across India, South Asia, and MENA, driving lending, trade, treasury, and fund raising.

1. Client Coverage & Revenue Generation:

- Manage a portfolio of FI clients including Private & PSU Banks, Foreign Banks, Small Finance Banks, Insurance, AMC, Multilaterals (IFC, ADB, AIIB), and ECAs.

- Deliver annual P&L target across Loans (bilateral, syndicated, FI Lines, Tier 2 / AT1 capital), Trade Finance (LC confirmation, SBLC, Forfaiting, Trade Refinance), Treasury & Markets (FX, Rates, DCM), and Transaction Banking (Nostro/Vostro, Cash Management).

- Originate and structure FI facilities including Banker's acceptance, risk participation, unfunded risk sharing, subordinated debt, and sustainable finance / on-lending lines.

2. Credit & Risk Management:

- Lead full credit process including due diligence, limit structuring, credit memo reviewing, and presentation to Credit Committee.

- Monitor portfolio health including early warning signals, covenant compliance, sector exposure, and country limits. Ensure zero tolerance for overdue KYC/AML reviews.

- Coordinate with Risk, Legal, and Compliance on FI KYC, Wolfsberg Questionnaire, FATF, sanctions, and correspondent banking controls.

3. Strategic & Cross-Sell:

- Create annual Account Plans for Top FI clients with wallet sizing and cross-sell roadmap.

- Work with Product Partners including DCM (bank capital bonds), Syndications, Global Markets, Transaction Banking, and ESG/Sustainable Finance.

- Position the bank as lead for multilateral co-financing and blended finance with IFC/ADB/AIIB.

4. Regulatory & Market Intelligence:

- Maintain deep knowledge of RBI regulations for inter-bank exposures, Large Exposure Framework, Basel III capital, cross-border lending, and FED/OFAC for USD clearing.

- Track rating actions, financial results, and M&A in the Indian FI sector.
