Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Regional Sales Manager role based in Mumbai. The Regional Sales Manager will oversee sales activities for laboratory analytical instruments in the assigned territory, including managing key accounts, developing new business, and building strong relationships with industry and research clients. Daily responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding technical requirements, preparing proposals and quotations, and coordinating product demonstrations in collaboration with technical teams. The role involves setting and achieving sales targets, forecasting and reporting regional performance, and monitoring market trends and competitor activity. The Regional Sales Manager will also mentor and guide local sales staff, ensure compliance with company policies, and represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and account management skills, including territory planning, pipeline management, and negotiation.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical information related to laboratory analytical instruments or similar scientific products.
- Proven experience in B2B sales within industrial, scientific, or laboratory markets, preferably in the Mumbai or Western India region.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Demonstrated skills in customer relationship building, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service and support.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including the use of CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently, travel within the region as required, and collaborate effectively with internal technical and support teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior leadership or team supervision experience is beneficial, with a focus on coaching and performance management.
