Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Base Locations & Territory Coverage

* Patna: Responsible for the entire Bihar region

* Ranchi: Responsible for the entire Jharkhand region

* Raipur: Responsible for the entire Chhattisgarh region

Experience Required

* Minimum 7+ years of overall experience

* Minimum 4+ years of experience in leadership roles

* Candidates from an insurance broking background will be preferred

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the regional sales team, including RMs, ASMs/AHs and FOS.

2. Drive sales through the agency network and build a strong distribution network across the assigned region.

3. Guide and motivate ASMs/AHs and FOS to achieve sales and business targets.

4. Drive agent recruitment and improve agent productivity across the assigned region.

5. Monitor regional business performance and take necessary actions to achieve sales objectives.

6. Prepare and execute monthly training programs for the field sales team.

7. Drive sales contests and engagement initiatives to keep the team motivated and performance-focused.

8. Provide regular guidance, coaching and recognition to strengthen team performance.

9. Monitor and review the performance of the sales team and support them in driving agent recruitment and business numbers.

10. Ensure effective execution of regional sales strategies and company initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

* Strong experience in sales leadership and team management.

* Sound knowledge of the insurance industry, especially retail motor insurance.

* Experience in agency/channel sales and distribution network development.

* Strong understanding of agent recruitment and business development.

* Excellent people management, communication and coaching skills.

* Ability to drive sales performance and achieve regional business targets.

* Strong ownership and result-oriented approach.

Travel Requirement

This role involves regular and extensive travelling within the assigned state/region for team monitoring, sales reviews, agent recruitment and business development.
