About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive SME Business through Direct Sales. The role involves acquiring and managing SME customers, developing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and leading the sales team to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition in the SME segment through direct sales.
• Identify and develop potential SME/Business customers within the assigned region.
• Conduct regular field visits and customer meetings to understand business requirements and generate opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with SME owners, promoters, decision-makers and key stakeholders.
• Generate leads through market mapping, references, networking and local business connects.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to conversion and closure.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual business and revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure timely conversion of opportunities.
• Lead, coach and monitor the performance of the sales team.
• Identify new markets, customer segments and business opportunities to drive regional growth.
• Coordinate with internal teams for smooth processing and customer servicing.
• Track sales performance, market trends and competitor activities.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes and compliance guidelines.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate with relevant sales experience.
• 5+ years of experience in direct sales / B2B / SME / BFSI sales.
• Strong experience in new customer acquisition and field sales.
• Should have good knowledge of the local market and SME customer segment.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Experience in team handling and sales leadership will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in Business Loans, LAP, SME Banking, Insurance, NBFC or B2B Sales would be preferred.
• Should be comfortable with extensive field movement and customer meetings.
