Regional Sales Manager - Field Crops

Roles and Responsibilities

• To achieve the sales target of his Region
• To monitor daily, the liquidation of stock from distributor and retailer point for low sales return
• To ensure payment of outstanding based on company policy (Vegetable Crop)
• To conduct effective farmer meetings, crop shows, jeep campaigns, demos and other demand generation activities
• To monitor daily, the work of TSM's and work along with them. (Retailer visits, farmer visits, DG Activities, etc)
• To set the TSMs tour plan, focus villages, focus products and focus retailers (Green book)
• To train the ASMs for their job.
• To meet retailers and distributors and ensure proper service is provided to them and solve all their problems (Channel Management)
• To add new retailers in his territory for business growth
• To do micro and macro planning of his territory for sales and dg activities
• To build relationship with state govt officials, universities and other company employees
• To conduct trials
• On a regular day, RSM should be always traveling with TSM and visiting two villages (one in the morning and one in the evening.) They should ensure that they are spending time with each TSM / ASM during the month. Depending on the number of districts they are covering they should be planning their tour program in a way that they do a night halt in the TSMs HQ and work with him to develop him.
