    Role Type: Full-time - [Permanent]

    Experience: 8-12 years

    About the Role

The Regional Manager will lead Ashoka University's undergraduate outreach across South India. Based in Bangalore, the role will develop regional strategy, manage the outreach team and build sustained partnerships that strengthen awareness of Ashoka and drive application growth and enrolments across its undergraduate programmes.

The role combines regional leadership with hands-on stakeholder engagement. The Regional Manager will build relationships with school leaders, career counsellors, students, parents and education networks, while using market intelligence to identify opportunities and guide the region's outreach priorities.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    1. Regional Strategy and Growth

    • Develop and execute the regional outreach plan, aligning city and institution priorities, engagement calendars and resources with university goals.
    • Own regional performance and assigned institutional relationships, driving student engagement, application starts, submissions and enrolments.
    • Review the regional application pipeline, identify gaps and guide targeted follow-up and initiatives to improve outcomes.

    2. Partnerships and Stakeholder Management

    • Identify and develop sustained outreach partnerships with schools, school groups, pre-university and junior colleges, independent counsellors and relevant education organisations across South India.
    • Build trusted relationships with principals, school leadership and counsellors; understand their needs and create opportunities for student and parent engagement.
    • Represent Ashoka at education forums, counsellor networks and regional events, expanding its professional network and opening new avenues for collaboration.
    • Coordinate senior stakeholder meetings and maintain continuity in key relationships through regular engagement and timely follow-up.

    3. Team Leadership and Management

    • Lead, mentor and manage the regional outreach team, setting clear territory plans, targets and individual responsibilities.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, coach team members on stakeholder engagement and presentations, and support their professional development.
    • Coordinate workloads, travel and event coverage; build accountability for follow-up, data quality and delivery against regional goals.

    4. Market Intelligence and Regional Development

    • Map priority institutions and emerging markets, tracking school curricula, student aspirations, decision drivers and regional admissions trends.
    • Monitor competitor outreach and gather feedback from schools, counsellors, students and parents to inform regional positioning and engagement.
    • Translate market insights into actionable recommendations on partnerships, new initiatives and allocation of outreach resources.

    5. Outreach Delivery and Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Plan and oversee school sessions, parent interactions, university fairs, counsellor and principals' meets, open houses and faculty-led workshops.
    • Deliver presentations and interactive sessions that communicate Ashoka's interdisciplinary education, undergraduate programmes, admissions process and scholarships accurately.
    • Work with Admissions, faculty, Marketing and other outreach teams to deliver regional initiatives and provide timely support to prospective students and families.

    6. Operations and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate institutional, stakeholder and prospective student records in the CRM and ensure consistent reporting across the regional team.
    • Track engagement quality, partner activity and application outcomes; share performance updates, market insights and proposed actions with outreach leadership.
    • Plan regional travel and event expenditure within approved budgets and ensure timely execution of outreach commitments.

    What we are looking for

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree, master's degree or equivalent.
    • 8-12 years of relevant experience in outreach, student recruitment, partnerships, business development or stakeholder management, preferably in higher education.
    • Demonstrated experience managing teams and delivering results across multiple territories, with a strong understanding of South India's education landscape.
    • Willingness to travel extensively across South India.

    Who You Are

    • Strong team management, coaching and planning skills, with the ability to balance regional priorities and hands-on execution.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, students and parents.
    • Proven relationship-building, networking and partnership development skills; an established regional education network is an advantage.
    • Ability to interpret market intelligence and performance data, exercise sound judgement and work independently in a dynamic environment.
    • Commitment to student-focused engagement and interdisciplinary higher education. Knowledge of relevant regional languages is an advantage.
