Regional Manager- Agency

Experience:

10 to 12+ years in the Life Insurance industry, with 10+ years managing the Agency Channel

Role & responsibilities:

• Drive regional sales and revenue targets, ensuring achievement of premium budgets and effective cost control.
• Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and manpower plans aligned with regional business objectives.
• Supervise branch operations, improve branch productivity, and ensure effective implementation of sales processes.
• Expand the agency distribution network through recruitment of new agents and sales managers.
• Drive agent licensing, onboarding, productivity, and business growth through structured guidance and support.
• Train and mentor Branch Heads, Frontline Sales (FLS) teams, Unit Managers, and agents to improve performance.
• Manage HNI clients and key agents directly to generate high-value business.
• Develop strategies to increase written premium and strengthen market penetration across the region.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, service quality, and client retention while addressing escalations.
• Implement agency development strategies and business initiatives in coordination with the Zonal Head.
• Monitor branch-level budgets, operating costs, and sales performance against targets.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, including IRDAI requirements, e-KYC norms, and anti-mis-selling practices.
• Track agent and manager performance, identify attrition risks, and implement retention and engagement initiatives.
• Prepare regional performance reports, sales forecasts, and business insights for senior management.
• Maintain effective stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with internal controls and operational risk policies.
