Regional HR Head - Mumbai

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.
• Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment process for the region, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates for various positions. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective recruitment.
• Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by addressing grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in a fair and timely manner. Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems to monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and support professional development. Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate goal-setting processes.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs within the region and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies. Support career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
• HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on legal developments and industry best practices to mitigate risks and maintain a positive work environment.
• HR Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze HR data to track key metrics such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and workforce demographics. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to inform decision-making.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and initiatives. Act as a strategic partner to business leaders in driving organizational effectiveness and performance.

Preferred candidate profile

• Postgraduate or Masters degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in the Ecommerce, Retail, FMCG, Logistics or SCM industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
