Regional BD Mgr - Middle East Power, Conventional & Non-Conventional

Role & responsibilities

• Own order intake for the Middle East territory within the Power sector, against the target allocated by the BD Head
• Build and own relationships with key ME power owners/developers and EPCs/engineering service firms ( at project sponsor, technical, and procurement levels
• Identify and qualify opportunities early IPP/IWPP awards, EPC tenders, capex announcements and take ownership of territory pursuits from qualification through to close
• Lead bid strategy discussions for territory pursuits together with the Prequalification, Approvals and Proposals Manager and India-based engineering leads; represent BGR directly in client negotiations through to contract signature
• Own ongoing prequalification/AVL compliance and renewal for territory accounts the Prequalification, Approvals and Proposals Manager prepares and maintains documentation centrally, but this role ensures nothing lapses locally and drives submission timing
• Coordinate the handoff of technical and commercial proposal development to the India-based Prequalification, Approvals and Proposals Manager and discipline engineering leads, staying engaged through submission, clarification, and negotiation rather than exiting at introduction
• Represent BGR at industry events, site visits, and client meetings across the Middle East; act as the face of BGR's D&ES business in the region
• Report territory pipeline, order intake, and account coverage to the BD Head

Preferred candidate profile

1018 years of BD/sales experience in the Middle East power sector with a demonstrated record of owning and closing deals (not just generating leads or relationships) — including commercial negotiation experience and comfort carrying a personal order intake number. Established relationships with owners, developers, or EPCs in the region. Must be resident or willing to relocate to Middle East. Strong coordination skills across the India–ME interface; Arabic a plus but not mandatory
