Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger (GL) & Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and post complex month-end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and deferred/unbilled revenues.
• Reconciliations: Perform high-risk balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed asset register verifications; identify and resolve variances promptly.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Drive end-to-end closing activities in adherence to tight global reporting calendars and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare trial balances, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports for management and stakeholders. [1, 2]
• Audit & Compliance Support: Assist internal and external auditors by providing timely documentation, statutory schedules, and process explanations while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, or local accounting standards. [1, 2, 3]
• Process Improvements: Identify operational bottlenecks, drive automation or standardization projects, and act as a mentor/SME for junior team members. [1, 2]

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce/Accounting (B.Com, M.Com, MBA-Finance) or professional certifications like CA, CPA, or ACCA for senior tiers. [1]
• Experience: 3 to 8+ years of relevant corporate or shared-services experience in finance and accounting, specifically within the R2R or General Accounting domain. [1]
• Technical Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, large datasets).
