Raw Material warehouse

Role Summary

Responsible for managing raw material warehouse operations and administrative activities at the manufacturing unit, ensuring proper inventory control, material availability, efficient warehouse management, statutory compliance, and smooth administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material Warehouse Management

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations for raw materials used in shoe manufacturing, including PU/PVC soles, EVA, rubber, leather, synthetic materials, fabrics, adhesives, chemicals, threads, laces, and other components.
• Ensure timely receipt, inspection coordination, storage, and issuance of materials to production.
• Maintain accurate stock records and physical inventory in coordination with the purchase, production, and quality teams.
• Monitor material inward and outward movements, stock transfers, and material traceability.
• Ensure proper storage, bin location management, barcode labeling, and FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock audits; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, excess, obsolete, and rejected materials.
• Ensure accurate ERP/SAP entries for GRN, material issues, stock transfers, and inventory adjustments.
• Coordinate with procurement and production teams to prevent stock-outs and production delays.

2. Warehouse Administration & Control

• Maintain warehouse documentation, gate entries, delivery challans, invoices, and material movement records.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, 5S, space utilization, and safe material handling.
• Monitor warehouse manpower, shift allocation, attendance, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, particularly for adhesives and chemical storage.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for stock verification and documentation.
• Track warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, material availability, stock variance, and timely material issuance.

3. General Administration

• Manage plant/office administration, housekeeping, security, facility maintenance, and vendor coordination.
• Monitor administrative expenses, consumables, and service contracts.
• Coordinate employee transportation, canteen, stationery, and other facility-related requirements, as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Support HR and other departments in day-to-day administrative activities.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of raw material warehouse operations in footwear or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP and inventory management.
• Understanding of GRN, FIFO/FEFO, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and material traceability.
• Team handling, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of 5S, workplace safety, and warehouse space optimization.
