Radiological Safety Officer (RSO)

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and EHS management systems.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across plant areas.
• Identify workplace hazards and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols at the shop floor.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and evacuation programs.
• Maintain safety records, permits, compliance documents, and audit reports.
• Monitor contractor safety compliance during project and maintenance activities.
• Support implementation of ISO 45001 and other safety management systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety performance.
• Coordinate with department heads to achieve organizational safety objectives.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Industrial Safety and EHS practices.
• Understanding of statutory compliances, Factory Act, and safety regulations.
• Experience in incident investigation and risk assessment.
• Good communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety documentation.
• Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
