R&D Leader - Health & Nutrition

Role & responsibilities

1. Partner with Category Strategy, Business Development, and Commercial teams to develop and execute the Health & Nutrition innovation pipeline.

2. Serve as the primary R&D interface for strategic customers, providing technical leadership and category expertise.

3. Translate customer insights, market trends, and emerging consumer needs into innovative ingredient and application solutions.

4. Lead customer-focused product development projects from concept through commercialization.

5. Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers to identify growth opportunities and address customer challenges.

6. Drive the implementation of category growth strategies and innovation priorities from an R&D perspective.

7. Identify unmet needs and emerging trends within the Health & Nutrition space and convert them into actionable innovation programs.

8. Communicate project progress, portfolio health, market insights, and innovation results to key stakeholders.

9. Champion the voice of the customer across the organization to ensure customer-centric decision making.

10. Support workforce capability development through strategic resource planning, technical training, and talent development initiatives.

11. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Regulatory, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Global R&D teams to deliver successful customer solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Food Science & Technology or in Pharma with minimum 10 years of experience in food & beverage or Pharma industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of five years of experience in food ingredient technical services, applications or similar discipline
• Proven ability to develop customer relationships and trust through technical knowledge and expertise
