Job Description

We are seeking an experienced R&D Lead with a strong track record in chemical research and development, product formulation, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC). The ideal candidate must have expertise in developing and optimizing chemical formulations for oilfield applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and formulation of drilling chemicals, synthetic lubricants, mineral lubricants, and production chemicals.
• Ensure chemical formulations meet industry standards, quality requirements, and performance specifications.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to chemical production, formulations, and plant operations to minimize downtime.
• Drive R&D initiatives to improve existing products and develop innovative chemical formulations based on market trends and operational requirements.
• Design, test, and optimize formulations to enhance product performance, reliability, and quality.
• Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes throughout product development and production.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in R&D and chemical product development.
Must have experience in Drilling Chemicals, Oilfield Chemicals, or Lubricating Oils.
Strong expertise in chemical formulation, product testing, and process optimization.
Experience in QA/QC and industrial chemical manufacturing is essential.

Willingness to relocate to Nigeria.
