Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite
The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Buildings Business to be based at Nelamangala, BANGALORE, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Design New Switchgear products & find creative design solutions to the problems.
- Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing products.
- Undertake complex design calculations and analysis tasks.
- Research new product ideas and method.
- Ensuring components and sub-assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards.
- Experience designing and developing low voltage products like MCBs, RCCBs, (Protection Devices) will be an added advantage
Qualifications for the role
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering from reputed institute.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in similar field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills enabling you to run multiple tasks simultaneously and meet targets and deadlines.
- Specify proper analytical methods which supports decision-making.
- Performs competitive bench marking in conjunction with product management.
- Experience designing and developing low voltage products like MCBs, RCCBs, (Protection Devices) will be an added advantage
