R&D Assistant Central Kitchen (QSR)

Location: Peramangalam, Tiruchirappalli

Job Summary

Vijay Bhavan, a growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand, is looking for a proactive R&D Assistant to support product development and standardization at our Central Kitchen.

This role focuses on recipe trials, process consistency, quality control, and documentation, ensuring that products meet QSR standards for taste, speed, and uniformity across outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in product trials and standardization for QSR menu items
• Support New Product Development (NPD) and maintain documentation
• Conduct sensory evaluation (taste, texture, consistency)
• Monitor food processing and transfer hygiene
• Track freezer & visicooler temperatures and update logs
• Assist in freeze dryer / processing trials
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Support packing material coding and traceability

Qualification & Skills

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology / Food Science / Microbiology
• 02 years experience in Food Industry / QSR preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, GHP, and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Interest in food innovation and process improvement
