R and D Application Executive - Color Cosmetics Personal Care

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify formulations for Color Cosmetics, including foundations, BB/CC creams, lipsticks, lip glosses, compact powders, loose powders, mascaras, eyeliners, and other makeup products.
• Develop and support applications for Skin Care, Hair Care, and Personal Care products.
• Conduct laboratory trials and prepare product prototypes based on customer requirements and market trends.
• Evaluate and test raw materials, active ingredients, pigments, functional ingredients, and specialty ingredients.
• Conduct application testing, compatibility testing, stability testing, and performance evaluation of formulations.
• Prepare detailed records of formulations, trial batches, test results, and observations.
• Support the development of customer-specific formulations and technical solutions.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Technical teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical support.
• Prepare and maintain Technical Data Sheets, formulation sheets, sample records, and R&D documentation.
• Assist in troubleshooting formulation and application-related issues.
• Monitor new market trends, ingredients, technologies, and innovations in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with GMP, safety procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support scale-up and transfer of successful formulations from laboratory to pilot or production level, where required.

Qualification

B. Tech in Cosmetics or Pharmacy or related degree.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of cosmetic raw materials and formulations.
• Hands-on experience in Color Cosmetics and Personal Care formulations product development.
• Understanding of cosmetic product stability and compatibility testing.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Good communication and coordination Skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
