Role & Responsibilities - Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining the required quality and standards. The role involves cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, contract management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) , Quantity Calculations based on drawings and specifications
• Conduct cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting for projects
• Evaluate and compare vendor/contractor quotations
• Maintain control of project budgets and conduct cost monitoring and reporting
• Prepare Client Bills, measurements sheets, and supporting documents for billing
• Identify variations, claims, and prepare rate analysis
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and site teams
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and statutory requirements
• Prepare final accounts and project close-out documentation

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costing
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Costing Software / ERP
• Excellent measurement, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Strong understanding of contracts, tenders, and procurement processes
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
