Quantity Surveyor || UK Construction

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of UK construction contracts, procurement and cost management to join our India-based team. Working remotely on behalf of UK construction clients, you will support the full commercial management cycle from initial tender and pricing through to final account. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing UK construction back office business and develop long term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender submissions for UK construction clients
• Managing subcontractor procurement preparing enquiries, analysing returns and making recommendations
• Contract administration managing variations, early warnings and compensation events under JCT and NEC contracts
• Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and applications for payment
• Tracking project costs against budget and reporting on cost to complete
• Preparing final accounts and agreeing final values with clients and subcontractors
• Supporting clients with CIS compliance and subcontractor payment management
• Working closely with site teams and client directors to deliver commercial outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
• Experience in a QS role within the UK construction industry is highly advantageous candidates with strong international QS experience and a genuine willingness to upskill on UK-specific requirements will be considered
• Knowledge of UK standard forms of contract including JCT and NEC is advantageous — experience with FIDIC or other international contract forms will be considered
• Experience with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and subcontractor management
• Proficiency in Excel and QS software — experience with Xero advantageous
• Excellent written and spoken English — confident communicating with UK clients directly
• MRICS qualified or working toward chartership is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and work independently
